The Center for Civic Innovation, in partnership with Our Future Atlanta, is kicking off a powerful year of raising our voices on local issues. From March 1 to 3, we will challenge our city's nonprofits, community leaders and activists to get engaged and commit to taking action around the elections in 2017, an important year for our city.

The Atlanta Civic Summit has been designed as a flexible event, with an opening plenary on March 1 and two identical workshop days of your choice on March 2 or 3.

+ What is the Atlanta Civic Summit?

The Atlanta Civic Summit has been designed as a flexible event, with an opening plenary on March 1 and two identical workshop days on March 2nd and 3rd. This event is meant to gather and engage some of our city's best minds around the 2017 local elections and their potential impact on social and environmental work across the city. Particularly we want to explore creative ways for nonprofit and community organizations to engage their audiences in local voting and local issues.

+ What is Our Future Atlanta?

Our Future Atlanta is a growing coalition of organizations across Atlanta taking a stand on the importance of local elections. We are thankful for our fellow coalition members: Pro Georgia, Partnership for Southern Equity, and our facilitator Collective Wisdom Group. More information about this initiative and how you can get involved can be found here.

+ What is the 2017 Ideas Challenge Pitch Competition?

This year the Center for Civic Innovation partnered with the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta to host the Ideas Challenge - a search for creative ideas that could have an impact on local elections. 10 great ideas will pitch live on stage in front of a 'celebrity' judges panel and you! You can read more about it here.
